Long time, no talk! I've been letting Hubs take the reigns on the blog for a bit, while I've been busy creating new meal prep menu items for y'all!
But have no fear, I'm back in the saddle again!
Recently, Mike and I took a break from our meal prep delivery service to travel to Cancun for my birthday!
And after reading some of our other blog posts, I'm sure you're probably thinking, "Dang, these people take a lot of vacations!" And, you're right!
Running your own business is NOT easy, and in fact it is a total life-consuming, 24/7 adventure. I find myself needing a break from all the chaos every 6-8 weeks, or else I might lose my marbles (and trust me y'all, you do NOT want to see that)!!
We work so hard providing healthy meals to all of our clients each week, that it's nice to take a step back and reap the benefits of all this effort!
I digress! Cancun was beautiful!!
I have never been to the Caribbean, let alone out of the country, and my interest has definitely been peaked. Needless to say, this is the first of many trips to the turquoise waters and white sandy beaches of the Caribbean for us!
So, let me tell you about our trip!
The first day we were there, we loaded up on the ALL-INCLUSIVE benefits of our hotel and passed out in a blaze of glory. To be fair, it WAS my birthday that day and I think you're allowed to go wild on your bday!
Second day, we went on a speed boat tour out to the reef and went snorkeling.
Wanna know the scariest thing? No, it was not the open water or giant fish around us, but it was Mike's INSANELY AWFUL boat driving skills.
I'm never getting in to a boat driven by him ever again!
Day three was our catamaran adventure to Isla Mujeres. It rained the entire time which was a BUMMER, but we still made the best of it!
Day four we went to Chichen Itza, and this was by far my favorite part of our trip!
Chichen Itza is amazing in every way, and I highly recommend the 2.5 hour trek to the Yucatan Peninsula to see it!
The culture, the food, and the people were inspiring. After the tour, we even got to swim in a real cenote!
To tell you the truth, I didn't feel like we relaxed enough while we were there, but that's sorta the curse of traveling, right? You jam pack everyday with fun adventures and end up being more exhausted when you get back then before you left!! LOL
We are leaving again in two weeks for Belize - hopefully we relax a little more!
Hope everyone is enjoying their week!
P.S. - Have you traveled to Cancun? If so, tell me about your adventures below!
